Model Restoration – Week 6

From January 20 to 23, 2025

The week begins with a visit from Gwenaëlle de Spa. She shows us the tests carried out using 3D printing.

We agree on the filament to be used. It is a wood fiber filament, lighter than the existing wood. This allows, by adding walnut stain and polyvinyl acetate (as a filler/medium), to create a patina to harmonize the 3D-printed parts with the original parts of the model.

We also continue the manufacturing of the uprights with new elements cast in porcelain plaster, reclaimed wood, and new wood.

The right side structure is assembled.
